Families with children are very welcome at our practice. We feel that it is important to give our youngest patients a positive dental experience from their very first visit, to ensure a trouble free attitude to dental care as they mature. We encourage prevention and provide help and advice with oral hygiene and dietary issues. We are very fortunate to have a dental therapist with a background of dedication to treating children and anxious patients. She is on hand to help with all aspects of children’s dentistry, including oral hygiene advice, cleaning, fissure sealants, fillings and helping to get the reluctant patient used to attending. 
We also have an oral health educator who is available to teach our youngest patients about caring for their teeth, giving diet and cleaning advice. 
We do not provide orthodontic treatment (braces) but have a selection of trusted specialists to whom we refer our patients when required. 
We encourage our parents to enrol their children in “Denplan for Kids”. We feel that this is an excellent plan and very good value for money. For a monthly fee, children receive their regular examinations, and any x rays that may be needed. They also receive, if needed, visits with the hygienist or therapist, fillings, extractions, crowns and root treatments. Preventative treatments such as fissure sealants are also included if required. 
Our emphasis on prevention will help our patients avoid fillings. Denplan kids also receive 20% off toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouth guards to help just a little more with prevention of dental problems. 
Most of us are parents ourselves and are reassured by the trauma and emergency insurance provided by Denplan. Cover is included for out of hour’s emergency care for children or to cover the costs of potentially expensive crown and bridge work should they damage those precious new front teeth.Latest News
December 2011 - One of our most important promises to our patients is that our practice should always be a clean, safe environment in which to receive care.
With this in mind we have updated our facilities this month to include a new decontamination room (the place where all our instruments are cleaned and sterilised.) We have worked closely with the experienced Paterson Health Group to ensure that our new facilities will help us continue to achieve high standards of care for years to come.
