An exciting new chapter for our practice
A message from Sophie Sumner, Practice Manager
At Distinctive Dentistry, we are always looking for ways to develop and enhance the care we provide, ensuring our patients continue to benefit from high-quality private dentistry in a welcoming and friendly environment.
There is lots happening within the practice, and I’m delighted to share some exciting developments, including our move from Denplan to Practice Plan, the introduction of our new hygiene-focused membership options and the arrival of two fantastic additions to our team.
Introducing Practice Plan – the next chapter in our dental membership
We are delighted to announce that Practice Plan will become our new dental plan provider, marking an exciting new chapter for Distinctive Dentistry.
This change gives us the opportunity to review and develop our membership options, with a stronger focus on preventative dentistry, personalised care and supporting our patients in maintaining their oral health for the long term.
Our aim is to ensure our membership options reflect the standard of private dental care we want to provide, with a greater emphasis on preventative support and helping patients plan for their ongoing dental health.
We understand that changing plan providers may raise questions, and we want every patient to feel informed and reassured throughout the process.
Questions about the move to Practice Plan?
To help make the transition as straightforward as possible, we will be adding a dedicated Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A) page to our website.
This page will provide further information about the transition from Denplan to Practice Plan, what it means for existing members and what to expect going forward.
We want you to feel confident about your dental membership and understand the options available to you. If you have any questions that are not covered on our website, our friendly team will be happy to help.
New membership plans with a greater focus on hygiene
Alongside our move to Practice Plan, we are introducing new dental membership options designed to place a greater emphasis on professional hygiene care and preventative dentistry.
We believe that maintaining healthy teeth and gums requires more than simply attending regular dental examinations. Professional hygiene care plays an important role in managing plaque and tartar, supporting gum health and helping patients maintain their natural teeth for as long as possible.
Our new plans offer different levels of hygiene care, with options that include longer or more frequent hygiene appointments to better support individual needs.
By allowing more dedicated time for hygiene care, we can provide a more comprehensive and personalised approach, with greater opportunity to focus on professional cleaning, gum health and tailored advice to help you maintain your smile between visits.
Whether your priority is maintaining already healthy gums or you need additional support with your periodontal health, our team can discuss your individual requirements and help you understand which membership option may be most suitable.
These plans form part of our continued commitment to preventative dentistry, helping us focus on maintaining oral health rather than simply treating problems when they arise.
We look forward to discussing the new options with our patients and helping you find an approach to ongoing dental care that works for you.
Welcoming Chris Nicoll to our dental team
We are delighted to welcome Chris Nicoll, our new dentist, who has already made a fantastic impact on both our patients and the team.
It has been wonderful to see Chris settle into the practice so positively. He has already begun building great relationships with our patients and has become a valued addition to the team.
At Distinctive Dentistry, we believe that a great patient experience comes from having a skilled, supportive team who take the time to understand each patient’s needs and provide thoughtful, personalised care.
Chris has already made a positive contribution to the practice, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop these relationships and contribute to the high standards of dentistry we strive to deliver.
We are very pleased to have him as part of the Distinctive Dentistry team.
Strengthening our hygiene team with Carly Hall
We are equally pleased to welcome Carly Hall to our hygiene team.
Carly brings a wealth of experience as a dental hygienist, along with valuable knowledge and expertise that will strengthen the care we can offer our patients.
Her experience will be particularly valuable as we continue to develop our hygiene services and introduce membership options with a greater emphasis on more comprehensive preventative care.
We want our patients to feel confident that their oral health is being looked after by an experienced and supportive team. Carly’s addition helps us continue building a hygiene service that focuses on individual needs, gum health and helping patients maintain healthy smiles for the long term.
We are delighted to have Carly on board and look forward to the contribution she will make to both our patients’ experience and the wider team.
Looking ahead
There is a real sense of progress at Distinctive Dentistry, and we are excited about what these developments mean for the future of the practice.
Our move to Practice Plan, the introduction of our new hygiene-focused membership options and the arrival of Chris and Carly all form part of our commitment to continually improving the care and experience we provide.
We remain focused on delivering high-quality private dentistry, with a personal approach, an experienced team and an increasing emphasis on preventative care.
Thank you for continuing to place your trust in us. We are proud to care for our patients and look forward to sharing this exciting next chapter with you.
Warm wishes,
Sophie Sumner
